Movie Summary (from online): Alex the lion is the king of the urban jungle, the main attraction at New York Central Park Zoo. He and his best friends―Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippo―have spent their whole lives in blissful captivity before an admiring public and with regular meals provided for them. Not content to leave well enough alone, Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him and makes his escape―with the help of some prodigious penguins―to explore the world.
My Review About This Movie:
I really like this movie. I decided to get this movie because a musical of Madagascar is coming soon at a school. I decided to rent this movie from the library to refresh my memory for what it is about. I watched it, and it was pretty good, so I decided to do a blog post on it. Many people will enjoy this movie, especially kids who like animation movies and humor.
Alex is a great character. He tries to make Marty to feel happy, however, he doesn't help. When Marty runs away, he goes after him, afraid that Marty might be lost and cold. That is a great thing to do for a friend (although Marty was having the time of his life)! Alex doesn't want to hurt Marty when he turns like a real lion, killing all sorts of prey like Marty. Alex is brave, and an awesome friend to everyone, even viewers.
Marty is a curious character, who wants to explore the world. He is a great friend to Alex just like Alex is to Marty. Marty is funny and humorous. He likes to keep a positive attitude. He really wants to go to the wild, that's for sure!
Gloria is an amazing character. She is one of the only girls in the movie, and she helps Melman out a lot with his troubles. There is not a lot to talk about her, but don't get the feeling that I dislike her. She is just as great as Alex and Marty!
And last but not least... Melman! Melman is a giraffe who is very cautious about things. He is a good character, but less things to talk about then Gloria. He is still a very GREAT character (look, he is the only one with a capitalized word)!
Who's your favorite character? Comment below! Although I didn't add my favorite character in there, I'll tell you anyways. The penguins! They are very mischievous creatures who are probably the ones to blame on for Marty to escape. But they are all so cute. The cutest penguin is probably Private. If you have a favorite character that is not on here like King Julien, or the adorable little Mort (also one of my favorite characters) you can still comment on one of them too!
